Tissue Growth Technologies was founded in 1990 as EnduraTEC Systems Corporation, with the charter of becoming a world-class provider of material test instruments to the biomedical community. Over the subsequent decade, the company introduced many new test equipment innovations and built an international customer base.

In 2000, the company recognized the need for mechanical stimulation for tissue growth applications and began developing a line of associated instruments. By leveraging the company's broad expertise in controls, precision low force motors and transducers, the company introduced its first ITEMs Tissue Growth Instruments soon thereafter.

In 2004, the company sold its material testing product lines while retaining its tissue growth assets, allowing greater focus on the development of new products for the tissue growth industry.

Building upon experience acquired over 16 years, the newly renamed Tissue Growth Technologies has set out to become a premier supplier of tissue engineering bioreactors and associated products within this emerging industry.
